Winter Flight at Portland Head Lighthouse, Maine

Warmed up to freezing yesterday in New England - so decided to take a quick road trip to take advantage of the nice weather. Headed to Cape Elizabeth, Maine to see the Portland Head Lighthouse. It’s the oldest lighthouse in Maine and one of the most scenic.

Was 26F at the lighthouse – 10 knot wind. Kept the batteries warm in the car before flight – had no battery temp warnings or problems. Brought it in to land at about 50% battery left to add margin. Looking for places to get nice photos now that the New England landscapes are a bit bland. Decided to chase lighthouses on the weekends to get some pics.

Saw the word "Portland" and had to come see.. Nice flowing shots. But keep your New England winter cold, it's too cold for me here in "Portland" Oregon..
