Buy a new gimbal, it might be cheaper. You have the old gimbal for parts. You may be able to fix the old gimbal later with a good part form your new gimbal. When you know what part is bad, buy that part and sell the old gimbal to get some of your money back. I saw two places that had new DJI p3s gimbals for $219 US. The new motors are around $30. The motor boards are about $30, except the top gimbal board is about $140. Then there are the arms, ribbon and camera. In sending it away, you have parts, labor and shipping. Then, the big wait. You can get a new gimbal in about 3 days regular shipping. Of course, you could buy a refurbished p3s . then look at all the extra parts you would have.

thanks guys I think I will be sending it to dronenerds. $60 plus parts and shipping will be cheaper than a new gimbal i think plus I know it will be done right. This thing has been down for 4 months and now that I finally got around to fixing it and its still not right, makes me want to say the hell with it and let the pros do it.
I replaced the broken gimbal arm and torn ribbon so at this point it "should" be something simple. I will mess with it a little more today but if I dont make any progress, Im sending it out!
