Two questions guys,
1/ I have recently had an extra hard landing whereby my P3 Adv was coming in too fast and to correct it I gave it lift. Unfortunately I had a brain freeze and gave it the wrong signal and drove it into the deck. It hit very hard squarely on it's landing-gear, bounced and then I landed it properly. I expected to find damage.
I have given it a thorough checkout and cannot find any damage.
What should I be looking for when looking for subtle damage in these situations?
What should I be checking for in the camera and gimbal mechanism?
Apart from securing the camera to the gimbal, what is the purpose of the gimbal anti-drop pins? How do they work and do they need to be replaced after being exposed to shock landings etc?
2/ I note that an 'aluminium motor mount protector' accessory is available to protect against stress cracking around the motor mount. Have others used these, are stress cracks around the motor mount common and are they worth considering as a preventative measure?
