What the best way to import your images/ videos?

looking to import the best and highest resolution image or video, do i plus my phanom into the computer or take the sd out which way is better and how do i get it into adobe raw ?

I pull the card & use a card reader. I save the raw files & import & develope with Lightroom then save.

For video several have said that short video usually 6 minutes are under are best. They will keep interest rather than long 15 plus minute videos.
