Warrenty Question

So earlier today I had a question about my battery and it turns out that it was a dead battery. It is swollen and bulged. I just went to Best Buy and picked up a fresh one and everything is working just fine on the drone. I've updated everything but I do not want to activate it just in case the seller I bought from on amazon wants me to return it. Can I activate it and still return it to finish setting everything I want or will they deny the return. Considering I can not ship the battery since it will be unsafe, would they even request the drone back or just send me a new battery?

Yes. Once you activate it, it will no longer require activation.

Ok, I bought it used as well. I'm confused as to why it still has the warranty. And for the sellers return policy is directs me to go to Amazons return policy. Would this mean thatI can activate it? It doesn't say anything about having to send the whole product back if one component is bad.

If it requires activation, then it has never been flown or resettled by DJI, therefore once activated, the warranty will start on the day of activation. I have never returned anything on Amazon, but if they can exchange only the battery, then go ahead and have fun with your Phantom.

Yes as @Ansia has said it can sit in box for ages but once activation starts your 1 year warranty begins,,,if brought from amazon or ebay your covered anyway ,,,,yes replied to batt post that sux but luck of the draw,,
