Taking a V3 on Holidays

Hi All

Im heading off on holidays soon as was thinking of bringing my V3 with me. Is there anything i need to consider in terms of flying with Lipo batteries or airport security etc. I was planning on bringing the unit in carry on baggage but maybe this isn't possible. Ill be flying from one E.U airport to another BTW.

Make sure you check out your airline's website. They should have all of the details listed there.

In general, you are not allowed to put LiPo batteries in check-in baggage. They have to be taken in your carry-on. I was required to remove mine from check-in baggage once when they were detected by the check-in scanner. It might be possible to leave a battery inside the checked-in Phantom but I am not certain. Depends on airlines and the country regulations.

In short:
Yes, a battery inside a unit can be checked.
Since Phantom batteries are only 57 watt-hours,you can have an 'unlimited' number of spare batteries in your carry-on.
