Switching from P Mode to Sport Mode problems

OK, so I take off and hover at around 15 feet. No wind. I switch to sport mode and the thing just wanders off. I would have thought it would have stayed right where it was.
Is this normal behavior? I have to switch it back to P mode to get it back under control.
Any insight would be great.

Are you sure you're not switching to Atti mode? It's real easy to flop that little toggle right past Sport into Atti.

I think you may have. "S" should have all the GPS hold features of "P". Atti will drift all over and you must control it completely.
