Sun glare

Is there a way to beat the glare, the only thing I can think of is face the camera lower to the ground but then I miss the high stuff

Switch the camera from auto to manual, then set the shutter speed to 50 and the ISO to 100 and finally, set the white balance to 6000. Try that and see how you get on. You could do with a Neutral Density (ND) number 8 in those conditions too.
