Hi,

I took some videos, when panning the video stutters about every second.
I analyzed the video with mplayer under linux; running the video half speed results in smooth playback.
I then converted the video to a series of pnm pictures. Playing them at full speed also ok.
Then converted from the series of pictures to a H264 in a mkv container at about 3000 bps.
Playing that is also ok.
Will do a test at higher bitrate.

What do the video specialists think about this?

Grtz

50 hz always seemed to be part of the reason for stuttering for me. Change it off auto and make sure it is at 60 Hz. Also, you will see stuttering if you have the shutter too fast. General rule of thumb is 2x the frame rate so you do not see the shutter working.
