I think it only climbs to 60ft if its below that, when above it will stay at its current altitude and there is no way of altering this atm. If your battery is very low it will descend no matter what, simple rule is to work out how long your flight times are. Then use a timer and make sure you are in a safe area with 2 minutes flight time remaining. If going further away do this early on in the flight after checking that there are no red flashes on the LED indicating a possible problem, If your going to rely on rth best to stay above all obstacles and have plenty of battery remaining so it can make it back but best to do your best to avoid needing the feature as it may not always work due to obstacles or battery remaining.
