Does anyone know if I need to reset the phantom 3 standard similar to smartphone in order to clean up anything personal?

Nothing is needed done with it. UNLESS you changed the factory password 12341234.
The new owner will still have to register a DJI Go App, and I believe will need a new certificate and license with the FAA. As far as personal info goes .....That goes with the DJI GO app. The new owner will not see your old flight logs.

Thanks for the info!

You sure about this? What about the .DAT files on the AC?

That's located on the SD card which can be format and clean up.

I read that internally on the AC there is a microSD card but I can't confirm as I've never taken mine apart. Good to know it can be formatted and cleaned up, as there's definitely a bunch of very detailed flight logs on it.

The internal SD card can't be formatted.
Whatever is on it, stays on it until overwritten by data from newer flights.
But there's nothing on there that you need to worry about and very few people could read it anyway.

Unless you have done some illegal flying the old flight logs shouldn't matter. It may just help the new owner if there happens to be an issue and there is warranty left.

Ha.... thanks for clarifying.
