Poll: Who uses Gimbal savers/locks?

Thinking about purchasing 1 off eBay from a guy on this forum who has it for $14.99

Are they worth it? Does letting the gimbal hang freely really stress it that much?

With my previous P2s I never used a gimbal lock and I carried/hiked with them all over and never had an issue.

Any and all input is appreciated.

I received this one today. I could not be happier. Some much easier to take on and off. I also like that the lens is protected.

After market gimbal locks are a must have. Makes using the Phantom so much easier.

I use the one Dragon does. Its a looser fit to the gimbal body but its a tight fit on the lens of the camera. Either way, less annoying than the stock setup.

The gimbal guard was also easy to setup and it came with a lens hood too

I ordered a gimbal saver and a gimbal lock. Very cheap added piece of mind for a very expensive investment.

I always use one because the camera is a delicate piece of equipment, i use a combined Lens cover/Gimbal lock but like most gimbal locks including the stock this does not stop the strain on the gimbal rubbers when carrying around, see my thread here. http://www.phantompilots.com/threads/p3-gimbal-lock-lens-protector-review-uk.43860/#post-413937
