P3 Firmware P3S Firmware and second battery

I got my new PS3 today. It's raining outside so no flying for awhile. First thing it asked me to do was update the firmware. That went without any issues, 1.7.90. My Overall Status reads Normal. I thought I read that you should repeat the Firmware update on your spare batterys I installed my second battery (ordered same time I ordered Drone). My status still says Normal. Does this mean I don't have to worry about second battery? I don't see any way to do another firmware upgrade if the status is Normal.

Put the fw on the sd card. Turn drone on with each battery. The drone will write new code into the battery. Do this again if you buy new batteries. The code is written to the smart battery processor system.
