Because I destroyed my P3A I have would have a spare transmitter (GL300C) which I was going to sell off but now I am considering using it as a second controller for when I get a P4P. with "second" controller I mean I am planning on modifying the p3a controller and add a range extender from MAXXUAV so this way I can keep the original P4P controller in it's unmodified (undrilled) state for normal flights, later sales or warranty returns if there is a problem with the drone.

I had a look at a few threads and seen that some people have issues with button configurations not being correct but apart from this problem do you think this would be a viable option and the controller should work as well as the p4p transmitter? also is the MAXXUAV my best option or are there better range extenders for the p4p?

I don't think this will work.
p4p controller only works with p4p a.c.
