Over farmland and lake

Beautiful and colorful. Sky views looks very nice. Which software do you use for color correction/grading?

Thanks. This is a rather neutral toning done in Davinci Resolve. I have studio which also includes a excellent noise reduction used here.

I’m a colorblind person and probably I see it a bit different. But I liked it.
By color neutral I mean quite close to the real colors but slightly oversaturated. Sky has a minor darkening and local contrast enhancement to add a bit of drama.

Very clean footage! I forgot to ask you about noise reduction. I use FCPX for editing. Do you know any good noise reduction tool for FCPX? Thanks.

I’ve never this (have you tried Davinci?).

There are several separate noise reduction plugins out there for different editors but a separate thread is most likely warranted to gain others attention.

I have tried it once but as far as I remember the free version does not has 4K support.
This was fixed a few releases ago. They slashed the prices of studio by 70% last year for a perpetual license so I chose to upgrade and it was well worth it. Main differences are included noise reduction and native h265 support.

007: DaVinci Resolve 14 has come on leaps and bounds. And the free version does handle 4K very well. It’s a leading colour correction option that now has upgraded to full NLE.

Search for the thread I’ve done on this superb software.

The free version is unbelievably good and has almost everything, but the Studio version is very affordable.

Thanks AW. I’m a Mac user since the beginning of time :) and I love FCPX. Overall, it is a very good editor and when it comes to rendering times I think it is the fastest editor for 4K footage.

Many use fcpx and Davinci together. Could be worth a try. (Keyword is roundtrip)
