Offshore North Topsail Beach, NC

Spotted fishing vessel off the coast of North Topsail Beach, NC. Filmed using my Phantom 4 Pro. All settings were in automatic 2.7K - 60fps - dumbed down to 1080p/60fps for YouTube. Weather was overcast and partly foggy, so clarity suffered a bit.

If you drop off a case of beer or a carton of cigarettes they will trade for 10+ lb of jumbo shrimp. We do it regularly. They're out for weeks and get desperate. Get a release dropper for your Phantom. Might take a couple trips though. ?

Any idea what they are dumping in the water off the back of boat around minute 1 in the video? Assuming some sort of bait, but really no idea.

I was wondering the same thing. If it were bait, those gulls would probably have been all over it.

Right - in that shot I was planning on going much lower and closer, but seeing the birds closing in, I decided to rise back up. Not wanting to include my P4P with the bait (or whatever it is) into the ocean after clipping a bird.
