Neo Chrome skin blocked GPS and altitude sensing.

I applied a chrome skin I bought on EBay this morning. I was hoping it would deter the seagulls who have been attacking me at he beach (see separate post).

The application went well. Nothing was covered that shouldn't be.

When I tried to fly, I got only "Safe to fly No GPS". After restarting everything a couple times, same thing.

I flew without GPS and I got a max altitude reached warning at rooftop level. It may have been my imagination but the quad seemed to be erratic when responding to my commands, so I landed and tore the skin off. It worked perfectly after that.

No more mods for me. Tinfoil hats work too well...

The EBay seller said that others had bought the skin with no complaints.

Does anyone else have any experience with metallic skins?

that skin sounds like it doesn't work well never use anything with metal on top of bird

I guess I'll ask for my money back. I don't think I did anything wrong. It seemed like it turned into a risk that I really can't afford.

No more mods for me. The P4 works pretty darn well the way it came out of the box
