Hi guys.

3 days ago I was flying my Mavic 2 pro. I was out at seas filming a boat for a music video. As I tried to return and decent the drone would not respond to the descent command. The sticks worked except the descent. It kept gaining altitude by itself. (The was zero wind). No response to RTH. No auto return after battery reached 30%, no auto descent after battery reached critical. Continued ascent to over 800m way beyond the “supposed hard limit” of the drone. Eventually it ran out of battery and crashed down to earth. Unable to recover it as it’s somewhere in a jungle. Has this happened to anyone before? I feel like DJI software caused this. I’ve been flying since the 1st phantom
Was released and never experienced anything like this.

This is one of those cases where the recorded flight data is needed to see what was happening and find the cause of the incident.
It might also help find a likely search location for the drone.

Go to DJI Flight Log Viewer | Phantom Help
Follow the instructions there to upload your flight record from your phone or tablet.
That will give you a detailed report on the flight data.
Come back and post a link to the report it provides
