Using Samsung Tab S2,just done the update & now map image in the map box has disappeared. Any suggestions?

I am going to write a longer response later from desk top in other thread. For now issue is default map shows half the planet centered on Niger, Africa. With tablet or even better P4 GPS enabled map still shows half a planet centered on your location.
The local area saved map is less than a pixel and under the blue dot.
Pinch to zoom in, after about 15-20 zooms city names will begin to appear, another 10-20, will show Cached maps.
I, from the old school, clean misc files and cache after completing operations, and often need to download again
