Looking for a good 3000 Mah battery

Ok so does anyone know of or have experience using 3000Mah batteries. Ive found a few on ebay but wanting first hand experiences on what you would recomend.

the multistar 3000mah 3s lipo is a direct fit for the phantom

i managed to fit the 4000mah version into p1 with some slight enlargement of the battery bay

Hi!

I just ordered 2 MultiStar High Capacity 3S 3000mAh Multi-Rotor Lipo Pack. The size is almost the same as the stock battery and the weight about 20gramms more.

After 3 flights with each battery, I can say that I'm very happy. I get at leat 2 min more flight time versus the stock battery.

Hey Ozzyguy, the mod to fit the Multistar 4000 3s battery into the Phantom 1 shell is very easy. Here's a link to a tutorial video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpI9fvhjwpo. The title indicates it's for an FC40, but it works perfectly for the Phantom 1, which I understand is the same shell. With only the GoPro mount and no camera, along with 9450 props, I got twenty minutes out of the Multistar 4000. Now that I've added a number of other mods, as well as full FPV gear, I get just barely under fifteen minutes.

I think you'll be very pleased with the Multistar 4000 after the mod. I know your original post was about the Multistar 3000, but this battery compartment opening modification is so easy, it's much more flight time with the 4000. Let me know if you decide to do it and have any questions.
