Limited Gimble Travel

Picked up a use P4. Noticed with the joystick the gimble only travels about half of the physical limits side to side when its sitting on the ground. Is that normal?

Ok gimble only travels sideways when using goggles,,it only pans up and down normally
Yes this is normal
