lens cap-protector-stabilizer / alternatives to DJI's...?

...for P4P+ style lens-gimbal
since buying Dec 2016 have broken 6+ "legs" on DJI's lens protectors;
one or both "legs" breaks whilst try to snap onto drone legs...
just found grocery store plastic ice tea jug cap that fits snugly
onto P4P+ lens -- but offers no stabilization of gimbal...
have others found better lens protector+stabilizer replacement...?

Yes, I've broken one of those myself. They're not very strong.

Just looking at the DJI store (Australian site), I see they're selling a new style of lens cover for AUD 10 which may also stabilise the gimbal without those problematic plastic struts. Has anyone else got one of these?

The lens barrels of the P4 and P4 pro are different diameters.
Don't get the wrong one.

From the many gimbal protectors that are out there, the one I like the most came from PolarPro. To my knowledge, they are no longer available. The stock DJI clear plastic one does work well, but yes, they all break at the connection point at the bottom of the landing leg. The recent purchases that I’ve made on the stock protector seem to be not as brittle and they have not cracked recently. Possibly the material used has changed? They do seem to be getting a bit pricey lately. I can remember some at 9.00 each with the most recent at 15.00.
I’ll see if I can provide a picture of the PolarPro.

I just started using this one and have been happy so far. It's a more flexible plastic.

I bought this. I too am happy with it
Someone had suggested filing the plastic to enlarge the space in the DJI guard so it doesn't have to flex so much. A good idea I believe but I had already purchased the replacement from Amazon.
