Is it normal if motors & battery warm, post flight

After my last flight ( slight breeze, lots of hovering, cool day in SoCal) of almost 19 minutes, I noticed that the motors and battery (after removal ) were warm (not hot) to the touch. I'm not sure if it's always been this way ( I've only had 6 flights ) and I'm getting paranoid reading posts here about ESC shorts and wires burning out, or if that's something I should be concerned with. I would think there'd be some heat generated, but how much is too much.?
