Can anyone help I use a iPad mini 4 and am struggling with seeing the screen when the sun is out, I have recently bought a sun hood but it does not make it any easier to see.
Any advice please?

Here are some things that might work for you:
  • Get a deeper sun shade (like the Hoodman).
  • Stand in a shaded area (e.g. under a tree).
  • If there are no shaded areas, setup some type of portable canopy (like this one).
  • Get a mobile device that has a brighter display (like the CrystalSky display).

When I got my P2V+ eons ago, I went through several tablets trying to find the best and lightest weight one I could find. I tried out the Mini 4 and sent it back within a week after deciding it wasn't very good in the sunlight even with a hood/shade.

Have you turned off auto-brightness and set it to maximum brightness?

Also getting an anti-glare screen protector helps.

Here's the one I use on my mini 4 with decent results:
Amazon.com: iPad Mini 4 Screen Protector, Tech Armor Anti-Glare/Anti-Fingerprint Apple iPad Mini 4 Film Screen Protector [3-Pack]: Computers & Accessories

And I absolutely love this sun-shade:
Master Series iPad Mini Sunshade

This set-up (although not perfect), works pretty darn well for me.

The only other option you really have with the mini 4 is to get one of those tunnel like sun shades.

I personally hated mine,... but to each their own.;)
