Yes,
I'm not sure, I was so excited when I got my iPad 3 with retinal display, with my p2v! Loved it, then I got my p3p, and nothing would not connect no matter what? So I tried my 2 no, my iPhone 4, NO, I was really po'ed , so I broke down and bought the
air 2, and bam connection, and has worked ever since! The APP is quite large, and demands a LOT from your device ( your running processing, live feed, wifi , telemetry, maps, cell service ( if avail ) diagnostics, you name it! I'm glad I have an " A version " Tx, as it takes some of the load off my iPad! As the app grows, so do the demands it requires! Unfortunately our old devices have become obsolete! And if I'm not mistaken, dji and apple are business partners, in some capacity! As they were with go pro in the beginning! YES " THE BEGINNING! " soooooooo long ago!
Now
Do you have a
iPad 2
Or
iPad
MINI 2?
I believe the mini will run the go app, but not the go 4 app? But I might be wrong?
I've not tried the go4 app! So I'm no help there!
Good luck my friend, can be frustrating, but I the End, enjoyable! Plus you'll have a shinny new toy!

Thin wallet, but SHINNY NEW TOY!
( ps: have you tried reverting to an earlier version of the app, that was still compatible with your device? ( if it is a mini ) regular iPad 2 is now a paper weight! ) there are several posts on this here, with one I composed as well!
Think the go4 is too new, but the go app can be reverted. Hope this helps!
