It doesn’t say refurbished,I purchased the drone under the premise that it was a new drone.But to answer your question more directly I don’t know what to look for on the chassis.The drone came to me in what looked like the original cardboard box,Inside the box was a black suitcase style hard case all seems brand new.Everything is individually packaged,I looked at everything to make sure no damage during shipping had occurred.Not one item had even the slightest blemish.At that point I planned on keeping the drone and I bought the larger capacity battery I think it is the tb-48 ,Keep in mind this drone has never been flown and is still under warranty from DJI.That is all the information I know about the drone
