First off, we are very new to this, and are pretty budget concious for now. Here are details on what we have, and what we want to do:

What we have:
Phantom 1.1.1 carrying GoPro Hero3+ Silver

What we want to do with it:
First and foremost, HAVE FUN!!
Second, we do 4x4 off road trips, (we are going to Moab this summer) and one of my sons likes to make videos from the trips and play with video editing. So this was a big reason behind getting it, so he could get some video from the air on our trips.

So, with that in mind, we want to set it up with FPV so we can see what the camera is seeing for better videos. We don't have plans to fly it FPV long distance out of sight or anything like that. It will likely always be within a couple hundred yards.

So, with that in mind, I was looking at either this combo:

Any thoughts or suggestions? If I am being really stupid here and missing something, don't be afraid to say! Like I said, I'm still reading and learning about all this.
