Hi,
I used to build and fly simple (two channel) nitro RC airplanes as a kid, but have been out of the field for over twenty years.
Just got a new Phantom 4 last week, it's my first proper drone (previous one is a micro drone used only in the house for learning the basics). So far, I'm having a great time flying it
I volunteer at a Search and Rescue team, and we've decided to introduce drones in order to help us with the search phase. We realise that ultimately we'll probably want a larger more powerful drone, with the ability to fly longer, carry weights and also have thermal imaging, but we decided to start with something smaller and easier to fly for the learning phase.
I'm sure to be visiting here often, as I've got a lot to read and learn, and this seems to be a place which concentrates lot's of knowledge in the field.
