Hacking a military drone by spoofing GPS

I think this has happened in the mid-east some time ago. I seem to remember seeing photos of some proud middle eastern folks smiling around a US military drone, taking it to a parade, then building a copy.
The speculation at the time was that they had "tricked" the GPS into thinking it was going home.

None of this concerns us because we just switch to ATTI and drone on.
