GS Mission Speed Vs. Battery Time

Based on actual experience, can anyone tell me which will use up more battery when flying the same GS course under same wind conditions.. a slow gs flight (longer time) or fast gs flight (battery working harder)? Or is it basically a wash. Thanks.

I think the slower uses more battery/ground covered. Faster setting may use more actual battery but doesn't cover nearly the ground fast does and may not make it back where fast setting would.
