Hi everyone,

I've been reading through threads on flying drones in Italy but I still can't determine if I need a permit and insurance to fly here. Here's what I've put together so far:

The regulations from ENAC are here: https://www.enac.gov.it/repository/ContentManagement/information/N122671512/Regolamento_APR_ed.1.pdf

In English: http://www.enac.gov.it/repository/C...04/Regulation_RPAS_Issue_2_Rev 1_eng_0203.pdf

User "bogIII" said: "If you do it for fun it is considered as a Rc airplane activity: stay away from people, buildings and major roads. Fly vlos, max height 70mt, max dist. 200 mt . Outside airports ATZ or 5nm if no ATZ (like Siena airfield)."http://www.phantompilots.com/index.php?posts/659157/

If the above is true, I'd love to find a source which I could print and have on hand if I run into any issues. I work on a cruise ship so keeping the local authorities happy is essential to both keeping the drone, but also keeping my job! We're off to Salerno/Amalfi Coast tomorrow and I'd love to get some footage there with my Phantom 3.

I tried calling ENAC today but couldn't find anyone that spoke English. I emailed them a few days ago but haven't heard back yet.

Any thoughts appreciated, thanks very much!!
