Falkirk Wheel

Thanks for the comments. It's the subject that's spectacular, I just tried to capture it.

I got loads of footage, but didn't use it (inspite of the final length) eg I threw away a second timelapse.

I'm no expert, but here's what I've got/do

Camera: GoPro Hero 3
FPS: 60
Gimbal: Tarot 2D
FPV: Fatshark Predator V2
Firmware: 4.0

Actually I'm going to add this to my signature and suggest others may like to.

Though shot at 60fp my project was at 30fps, but no slow motion applied to clips, I flew slowly.

I used KDEnlive video editor on Linux Mint, and rendered to H264 8Mb/s
uploaded to YT - applied YT deshaking
(Original was pretty smooth, but second day was windy and I needed to remove yaw wobble)
Downloaded smoothed video, added audio and watermark
Rerendered to H264 8Mb/s and re uploaded

I know this loses me quality, but my PC is incapable of deshaking video within my lifetime so it's a compromise.

Timelapse was shot on my GoPro at 1 FPS and then all the single images were combined in KDEnlive.

As always there are things I would do differently/annoy me, but I try different things with each video I do.

Problems I had
1) Fog! - got the opening shot, then landed and went home as the weather got worse.
2) Gimbal - rolls to off horizontal sometimes, seems to be yaw related but haven't pinned it down, sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't - think it's a known issue.
