With yet another California firestorm raging in my county and threatening my neighborhood, we got evacuated.
After spending the night in my truck with the cat & dog, all my tools and drones, I called my wife and told her to meet me at our happy place, Lake Tahoe, California!

So when you were in your truck protecting your pets, tools, and drones from the fires, where was your wife? ?

By the way, I like the pano and am also very glad to hear that you are safe. ?

Moo ha haaaa! ;)
No she was already in Sacramento with a couple of friends for a 2 day concert event, which is about the half way point so I told her to meet me there.
It was pandemonium here with over 200,000 people displaced, and no rooms available locally. It was either live in our cars or the shelters.... or take a vacation. We were very thankful that our home was still there!

Lol yes! Due to PG&E’s aging, un-maintained infrastructure (and not due to lack of $$) combined with Kalifornia’s extreme environmental policies (it seems they would rather have all the trees burn rather than log some of them) many thousands of homes and businesses have burned and scores of people have died.

So where are they going to get the logs to rebuild the homes? Hope you still have insurance when you get back.

Lake Tahoe looks really nice. I feel like hugging a tree there. LOL

And the president makes jokes about environmental problems.
Couldn’t his beautiful Slovenian wife convince him otherwise.

I think the problem in California, is too much building in fragile areas prone to fires for natural regeneration. Problems are usually multifaceted and not so simple to resolve. Not one man’s problem nor one man’s answer.

Of course there is no single reason to such disasters but temperature raising has becoming the major one and everybody is a bit responsible and everybody can do something to stop that or diminish it at least.
