I believe these vehicles, if up scaled, could easily evolve into passenger vehicles in the near future. They are autonomous, reliable,
inexpensive to manufacture,
stable,
Have very few moving parts especially compared to cars,
Need very little infrastructure, ie roads
Have 2 pairs of opposing props unlike helicopters
You would not need to be licenced as they are autonomous
Have 500 ft of clear vertical airspace in which to operate
Apart from
Existing Industry resistance due to self interest. Like the Automobile industry with its fuel guzzling, tyre wearing (only a very small percentage of tyres ever get used), natural resource gobbling, polluting, high maintenance products which have proven to be the greatest environmental disaster since the extinction of the dinosaurs I would like to hear any other reasons why, with longer flight times, it couldn't be done soon.
I would love to hear arguments for and against.
