Why Is A Government Drone Flying Over A Sacramento Neighborhood?
I think I lost IQ points listening to the paranoia expressed by the neighborhood residents. The local housing authority is using a multirotor UAV to conduct nightly air patrols of a set of public housing units which have a history of crime.
But the residents of a nearby neighborhood, after years of misinformation and mass media conditioning to create irrational fear of "DRONES" are upset that the housing authority may be spying on them and their homes.
How dare the housing authority use a modern tool to perform security watches of it's properties. How dare them. You know what would be better? Huge free standing towers built all over the property with PTZ cameras mounted all over them. Yeah, towers with flashing lights and guy wires. Lots of guy wires. At least the cameras on the towers won't be able to turn and zoom into the windows of their homes and spy on their naked children in the bathroom like that DRONE. That evil spying drone.
