DJI = MAXAERO One company? Two brandnames?

I wonder.... why the Phantom(s) and the Maxaero show so many similarities and also the websites of Maxaero and DJI have a very similar design....

Same company with two brand-names to play a "competitors" game ... only for the consumers (for us)??

This happens in the LED Flashlight World as well, many chinese brandnames produced in the same factories.

There are enough differences to make me think they are not the same.
The Phantom is such a good design and so well established that it's inevitable that competing models (like the X-star) will draw influences from it. Their Venture II doesn't look like anything DJI ever built.

I thought same. And same city¡¡¡¡¡ (curious). For me, maxaero it´s "second brand", or maybe "test brand" for DJI.

It's China's Silicon Valley - where all their high tech companies are based.
That's like saying Ford and GM are the same because they are both from Detroit.
