My guess is that it will be too heavy for the Phantom and it will be marketed towards the F450/F550 and larger crafts. If you've ever seen the $3500 USD DJI Zenmuse Gimbal in action, you know nothing compares. Hopefully performance will be similar but price will be much less!
Release date should be early summer 2013.
