DJI app usage

My iPad is using up most of its 32GB of storage. Looking at the list of what’s using the most and I noticed the DJI Go app is using almost 1GB of data. Why is that and how do/can I reduce its usage?

How long have you been flying ?
Have you ever cleared the logs or the footage stored on the device ?

You can choose whether or not a low res video gets stored on the device. I do because it might help in an incident but I clean them off. I just delete those since I have the hi res stuff from the SD card. I move the flight logs to a PC using a thumb drive. I just monitor my available room and clean up as needed

Ok I had 76 flights. Some had video. Deleted the ones with video, thinking they were the data eaters. Nope. Now the app is using 1.1GB?? Yesterday the app was using around 850mb. Yes I turned off my iPad and back on to reset. That don’t make sense.
