Disconnected

I got my Phantom 4 yesterday, 12th of October 2016, charged everything up and tried it this morning and got it off the ground. Then tried in the afternoon, had changed nothing about the way I started it up but it said disconnected and would not fly. I made sure everything was charged again and continue to try but it continued to say disconnected and so it has only flown once and despite all attempts to try again, it remains on the ground. Has anybody else had this problem and if so how did they solve it?

Make sure you are powering on the rc 1st, then the drone, wait about 30 seconds. Then connect the phone or tablet with the cord and open dji go app.

I normally connect the tablet first then power on my remote and P4. I've also done it in reverse a few times with no ill effect

That happened to me once. Then realized I forgot to connect the cable from the RC to my tablet.

You have to pair the controller with the drone!
