Controller screen mount extender?

Found a couple on Amazon that will extend the reach of the mount vise to accommodate my screen (mount needs to open 9"). Does anyone here have any suggestions from components they have used? Not wanting a tripod as the screen isn't THAT large (iPad Pro 12.9") and I have to have mobility as I fly.
