Cashed images just 160x120px

Most of images cashed on mobile phone (Android) are only 160x120px, just some of them are 960x720px.
Why?

The smaller ones are just thumbnail images and you get 4 thumbnails for each flight record.
Ignore them all - the real images on your SD card are much bigger and better.

Yes, I know that real images are on microSD card.
Why just some of cashed images are 960x720px? I use it to preview photos. 960x720px is useful resolution.

Should be... But most of them are only 160x120px (~95%). The same thing on two different mobile phones.

I can't answer this question as I never save my images on my tablet. I feel it's waste of useful space. I get high resolution images and videos only on my sd card. That's me, you can have different choice.
