Not sure. I'm interested because that's "home", but I live in FL now (which has NO permits... Boo!)

The latter, unfortunately. Drone flying is prohibited. Where in FL?

The City of St. Petersburg has no restrictions that I was able to find. So if it's a city beach, you should be OK. It's the Pinellas County and Florida State parks that are restricted.
