S I picked up a dual batt tray system from 1RC, the flat "wing" deals on the sides. But I didn't like it. Batts stuck out too far and I could not use my case, I wanted a tighter, cleaner solution that would fit in the case without having to pull it off. I think I nailed it.
I cut the mounting tabs a bit and mounted them high on the outside of the landing gear vertically. Couple of cuts and four rivets and its super slick. Check out the photos.

By the way, w/o go pro, got a solid 13 minutes of just night flying around my front yard. Power was good too, lots of lift. I'm very happy with it.

Nice. Let us know how much time you get with the gopro. Are you hanging anything else on it?

Really nice work. I use a different setup but it negates the ability to transport my Phantom in It's case. I really like this solution.

First test was just a GPS hover in the driveway, with nothing on it, solid 13 minutes, landed on red flashes but before shutting down I pinned the throttle and it was still pulling hard and shot up. I was impressed.

Second test was go pro loaded (no gimbal) and ripping around the backyard with lots of pitch stabs etc., solid 11 minutes, again plenty of power left.

I have my FPV tx ready to go but waiting on a stupid CF tail mount that's probably on a boat in the pacific right now. Ugh. :|

I'm very impressed with this setup so far. The arms by default hold the batts from moving fore/aft and its so clean and tight it seems that performance doesn't suffer as much as other setups. I'm very, very happy with it.

And yes, fitting in the case is a huge bonus!
