Battery not working at all!

Please help! Got a brand new Phantom 2 Vision + but the batteries are not working at all! I have 1 extra battery which is also not working.

Question... do they charge or show activity (lights blinking) as they are plugged into the charger? You do know you turn them on by long pressing, then long pressing again the button right?
