Ok I upgraded the batteries, so how does this battery new battery management work ?

This the most half assed update yet ! We shouldn't have hack everything to get it to work.

Trying to find the answer to this also.

Just read the release notes.
The new fw will protect you battery by starting automatically discharging after 10 day of not using them.
So if you don't like this feature, just don't upgrade the fw.
