Battery Failure Causes Crash

Saturday was a great day for flying. Out over the lake for about 12,000 feet. On the way home the battery light flashed a few times to 0% then total failure causing AC to fall like a brick from 160 feet. When recovered, the battery wouldn't come out. Had to disassemble to pry the fused connector off the battery. I bought this 2nd hand with DJI Care Refresh. However, I think it's a warranty issue. I've got the DJI Care Refresh Agreement number. Do I still need proof of purchase?Did disassembly void any of this? I couldn't safely leave the battery fused that way, definitely couldn't ship it that way. How do I proceed?

When recovered, the battery wouldn't come out. Had to disassemble to pry the fused connector off the battery.

I believe there have been some other posts about melted battery connectors on P4's, although I don't recall if any involved failures in flight. I would contact DJI, explain the situation, and get direction from them. Good luck, and post back here with your results.
