Thanks for sharing, that is indeed an excellent treatment on the subject (if a bit lengthy), and an interesting straw poll into popular opinion.

The park mentioned at the beginning of the article, Clingmans Dome, is one that I was planning to visit in the spring. Interesting to read that the park staff he encountered seemed to have no issues whatsoever with his flight.
