Hi there,
after some ghosting problems with my Phantom 4 Pro I found out that the H.264 .mp4 UHD videofiles seem to be somewhat incompatible with my prefered editing software EDIUS 8 Workgroup (latest update and version before).
Playing the files instantly from the timeline shows some dropouts (blank screen) in the editor.
Performance of my 6700k is ok and the buffer doesn't run empty, but I get some stutters that are displayed as blank screen (green on my BMD Intensity Pro 4K). This happens on two completely different machines!
All this happens if I put several clips in the timeline. If I wait "very" long (waiting till previews are generated is not long enough) everything seems to be fine, but that's no choice for editing.
Footage of my old P3 Pro (UHD 60Mbps), Sony alpha6500, FDR-AX53, FDR-X1000, PXW-X70 and Panasonic LX100 as iPhone 6s (all UHD at 100Mbps) is always running smooth from the beginning.
Anyone else found this?!
Cheers.
