After yaw arm replacement, DJI app says gimbal disconnected

A lot less likely but still possible is a bad SD card and/or firmware version mismatch between controller and AC (I have had both issues).

In this case I'd stick with the ribbon cables being poorly installed or faulty.
 
The drone worked well before yaw arm replacement. Ribbon looks good. All connections are tight. I have a new ribbon. Is there a connection that is specific to gimbal connection? Assuming that all connections are tight? RC will activate motors
