Hello to you all,

Last week I flew above one of the many fortresses which reside in our country (the Netherlands). This fortress is a special one because it has a glass roof/dome on top of it.
Ofcourse I flew there with my Phantom 4!

Beautifully done!

I'm not familiar with your country's history. When built circa 1836, what aggressor(s) were they intended to discourage?

They were to discourage the germans. It worked during world war I. The netherlands weren’t attacked because of this defense line. WW-II started with planes and paratroopers, so they just flew past these fortresses.
